About

The friendly-looking gentleman in the upper left corner logo is Archie Cochrane, arguably the grandfather of evidence-based medicine. Read about him.

There is very little original thought or work of mine on this site, apart from the organization and the design of the site and the examples. I have done my best to explain the concepts I have learned over the years studying EBM.

The two places that get the most credit for the site's concepts are the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine in Oxford, UK and the Center for Information Mastery, now housed at my alma mater, Tufts University School of Medicine.

I have also pulled and linked to material from around the web. If you find a broken link or something that should have been attributed, but isn't, please let me know.

The art and images on the site are composed of a random assortment of images from the National Library of Medicine, the Art Institute of Chicago and the a couple of other sources. All are public domain images. There is no real logic to their choice for the individual sections - it's just nice to have pictures.
